CURPoB Research

The EsBaran Field Station is ideally located for study in a broad range of scientific fields including Ethnobotany, Ornithology, Primatology, Entomology. An Innovative approach to chemical prospecting is pursued through the CURPoB methodology, uniting these historically biological fields with applied investigative chemistry, in turn creating a multidisciplinary approach for the discovery of novel potential medicinal compounds. This same methodolgy led to the creation of the field of Zoopharmacognosy, and holds promise for future discoveries in the nacent field of Chemo-Ornithology.
