Funding for CURPoB in the Amazon comes from the National Institute of Health (NIH), and MIRT. Construction of the EsBaran Field Laboratory was accomplished thanks to the generous donations from Esther, Barbara Howel, and Jay and Anita Hymen (EsBaran). We recognize the invaluable collaboration of the Peruvian scientists and Guides including Julio Arce, Juan Ruiz, Milton, Daniel, Esteban Mosquera, and Juan Carlos Palomino. Dr. Charles Mango, owner of the Yarapa River Lodge and host to CURPoB research associates, has played a critical role in providing a hospitable environment and coordinating the infrastructure for the EsBaran Field Station.
