As a technician, I am involved in several projects in the lab. The first project is a comparative proteomics study of  tomato fruits, targeting both wild type and a range of nonripening mutants to wild type. We are focusing on protein abundance differences related to tomato fruit ripening and softening using iTRAQ technology. In the second project, we are trying to differentiate the proteins involved in aluminum tolerance in maize root tips by using iTRAQ and DIGE technology. I also contribute to the DFD tomato project and the tomato cuticle mutant projects of tomato and am responsible for day-to-day management of the greenhouse.
